This is the second time I have used One Main Financial. I had Janetta this time and she was great. Everything went very smooth and she explained everything since it was a debt consolidation loan . I very much like that they keep the payments low enough that you are not feeling overly burden. I also like that there is no penalty if you pay it paid off early.

I would give no stars if possible. LISA branch manager is useless, no customer service skills. Policy changes as needed. Paid off my loan directly with my bank account number then I’m told I have to wait 15 days for check to clear. WHAT CHECK ??MONEY WAS TAKEN WITH ACH DIRECT WITHDRAWAL. I couldn’t stop if I wanted to. Which I might try to do now So they have my money for 15 days and I do not have my title

I would rather lose every single possession I own than EVER do business with these people again. Rudest individuals. constantly call to harass even when paying on time. They ignore do not call listings on your account. Janetta is the most over the top horrible human being ever

Always remember a loan can be cancel within seven days. The young lady Genetta lied to me and only for that reason I will not recommend. I called her office in morton grove and was told it was 10days to cancel the loan, Genetta insisted that there was nothing she can do. I said ok. I'm also into Customer service so I called several other branches and they said yes I can cancel, so i call corporate and corporate was so disgusted of the lie Genetta told.

Not a good experience at all. I left feeling berated and embarrassed about my credit score after commenting on the high interest rate, and I was also lied to about my payment schedule. Not only do they not tell you upfront what your interest rate is until you're ready to sign, they also don't tell you the loan insurance is OPTIONAL. I just happened to look at the screen. The demeanor of the person helping me changed when I told her I didn't want that extra $400+ added to my loan. That's probably where they make their money. And I get that. I honestly wouldn't have minded if I hadn't been lied to with the next thing that happened. As we reviewed my app, I was told that my first payment wouldn't deduct until February. When I pointed out that the date on the app was listed as January, I was told it was a "typo in their system" and that it wouldn't deduct until February. I assumed that the woman helping me was telling the truth and would fix it. Sure enough my first payment came out a week after I got my loan, and NOT in February as promised. As for going through my credit history and reading all my account summaries online out loud to me when I commented on the interest rate - completely unnecessary. I know what my credit score looks like, and I know why it's like that. I wouldn't have gone to OMF if I had another option.

If I could give no stars I would... this place is a scam. I got a secured loan for $15,500... I had a funeral to pay for so i needed whatever i could get... car loan was 10,000 so I only got 5,000 in cash.. I've been paying $515 a month for almost 2yrs not including the supposedly insure they charge which is an extra $100 which makes it $615 a month and now my payment payoff amount is $15,900... so basically for 2yrs nothing has gone towards my account. And the fact I owe more then when I got the loan is crazy! They call you almost everyday asking when you're going to pay even on your due date. Sone of them are rude and act like you owe them.... I beg anyone please please do not do a loan with them. You will regret it like I do. I wish I never did it.

Ok so lady i spoke with was nice ... actually she was manager.. Hurt my credit cause of hard pull , tax return fed and state 84 000 plus payroll included in taxes as well which comes to 105 000 in tax return. I do not know their system or their calculations but they told me that from their system it says that i make 384 dollars per month , and I am business owner in trucking industry and both corporation and personal i make over 150k after expenses easy, depends on the year ... but 105k in year after taxes is not 384 dollars per month so i didnt get personal loan which i need just for 2 3 months ...
