OneMain Financial, Matteson, IL

I received a solicitation call from the Matteson office regarding a new loan. I was interested and I was referred to Maria. She requested information which I immediately returned to her. The next day I had to call her repeatedly to get status on the new loan. We couldn’t get the online application to work. I eventually had to come in and sign documents. Maria left me in the cubicle to finish signing the documents by myself with little instruction. The manager even asked her why did she leave me. Anyway kudos to the Manager of the office. I don’t remember his name, but he was very nice and accommodating. He took over and gave me a lot of useful information. Also I referred a qualified customer and have not received my $100 referral fee.

Paid a loan off and One Main reported my loan as closed which caused my credit score to go down 40 pts. Why would a company do that !? Report a paid off loan as PAID OFF!!! not CLOSED!! I wish they would stop calling and sending me mail. Not a good finance company even with excellent credit. Because if you don't put up collateral you'll still pay crazy interest. They should go out of business.

Getting a loan through One Main Financial was a great experience. We applied online and approved right away. After signing the paperwork, we received our loan the next day. They made a stressful situation less stressful.

So I connected with them thru Experian for a some loan they said I was APPROVED for the loan I asked for. Then after 2 hours later he calls back saying we’ll all we can Lend out is $1500 !?! So when I ask about what I ask before he said well we just can’t do that so I was okay well I can’t do the $1500 so no then with out questioning say okay and hangs up !!! So just cause he didn’t get his Commission off me he got mad and hung up. This is a professional building where they want us to borrow money from I advise anybody not even waste your time here SO UNPROFESSIONAL what a joke.

My experience with One Main Financial was awesome! Easy peasy! In and out an hour had my money the next day! My experience with the employees was a 10! Very nice courteous and attentive! I highly recommend them!

Started off good 3 years ago now smh, I would think that having a loan for 3 years in good standing never missing a payment or late that they would know if your credit was good for an up-to-date loan(since they are calling you ) just to rerun your credit and say sorry you don't have enough equity. Dang then why do you keep calling. 😕

I've been using One Main specifically the one in Matteson some years now...and I must say the customer service has gone down.. never had problems in the pass but recently I talked to a young man in there that was very rude and had no knowledge of anything and couldnt even call back to let me know my status and stopped answering the phone for remaining of the day..I had to call a different branch to finish the process. No I don't recommend this branch go to a different one..you will get better service elsewhere!!!
