I opened an account here after moving back to the area and was recommended by a friend to talk to Ted. Every time I've called or visited the Michigan City branch, he has helped me immensely with information and advice. He is knowledgeable, professional, and a true asset to 5/3 bank. With bankers like Ted in the office I will be sticking with 5/3.

Waited in line 15 minutes for the teller, busy day, no problem. She was able to give me a money order, but said I had to wait for someone else to get a 360 card, as I reported my debit card lost and need to be able to access my money. It takes a week to get a new debit card. Almost another 30 minutes passed. The person I was waiting for was still with the same customer. I asked the teller if there was anyone else that could help, she said she would go back to her desk and help me. Instead she asked a different employee to help me. That person went in and asked the the employee I’ve been waiting for, how long she’d be, she said not much longer. Waited another 10 minutes, no help. Had to leave, already going to be late back to work from lunch break. No lunch today. No way to access my money as the bank will be closed when I get off work. Get more Help! Done with this bank.

Let me say this I LOVE THIS BANK! I live all the way in LaPorte, also next to a Fifth third bank but I kindly travel over to Michigan City every time I need banking assistance. Kim is my heart she is so sweet, and such a diva. I don't ever feel like I'm walking into a facility, I feel like i'm going to my friends house. Kim can actually be one of my great friends in real life. She is so easy to talk to, and helps me out with so much more than banking. It's as simple as hey girl can I get directions to such and such lol. She's awesome hands down. Futhermore, her banking skills are incredible to she always let me know the best accounts, how to save, how to avoiod fees. As well as give me courtesy calls to make sure, i'm not having any issues with my account. Kym you give me life! Next STEPHAINE!!!!!! I so love this caucasian lady! I say her ethnicity because being a somalian woman, in living in the heart of the country people aren't to friendly to me. She lights my whole day up with her smile, and her greetings. I've been banking here for a few years, and manage to see her regular and now married with soon to be children, I feel apart of the family lol. She is so sweet when I walk through the door, she already knows my name. She often Id's me which I love, but I know if I was ever in a jam, she would still consider my transactions because she knows my face. I can NOT wait until she has her baby, I am buying all the gifts. I am thinking of something special for her now. Needless, to say if Kim or Stephaine stopped working here, I would SHUT DOWN my accounts and proabably cry!!!!!!!!!! The whole bank staff is incredible the other girls are sweet and friendly too, I just don't have relationships with them. The Branch manager is so cute and friendly, she has the best hair styles some days I am such a fan of the hair styles. This location is life!!!!!! Coming into Fifth Third Bank is the high light of my day. I don't see myself banking with another bank.

Positive experience at 5/3 Bank in Michigan City today! Ted Paparodis coached me on getting the documents I needed to do the banking I was trying to accomplish. He is friendly and efficient.

PROs- I find the mobile and desktop banking platforms easy to use.
CONs- One cannot add a note to internal transfers and there are no numbers one can use to link a check to it's respective mobile deposit on the mobile and desktop platforms.
