First Merchants Bank, Monticello, IN

This bank did some sneaky red tape to take money from my account. They did the same thing to my sister and I did not believe it and a few friends I met told me the same thing so I was watching my account and and I noticed the same thing.

Sadly I can't give a negative star for this location. I had decided to make a move and come to monticello and I was approached by a First Merchant representative to start an account. First bank in 10 years and its been a horrible experience all year. I did go to other branches (Lafayette), and polite as can be. HOWEVER...being considered the Bank of Monticello...its upsetting. 30 to 40 min line waits. Lobby is constantly closed so u can't sit with managers figure out whats going on...close early and tell you wrong information which leads to your money being held for a week .I've felt disrespected..I have kids I have bills and to close early and be told false information to where my money is not released to me is upsetting..I am rdy to find somewhere else to bank even if its an hr drive

Everyone is very nice and helpful.

The drive-thru is horribly slow. It doesn't matter what time of day I go they are horribly slow.

Have had nothing but success working with Todd Edgell as a loan officer for my clients! He is quick to respond, take action and get 'er done! Thanks Todd and First Merchant's Bank!
