We're on our 3rd car loan with Golden Plains Credit Union in 15 years and they have been great every time. Super friendly, helpful, and willing to compete for our business.

This place is an absolute JOKE! Helped a friend with getting his vehicle back. Was told many different amounts to get it back even with the same date being used. I had my bank issue a money order for him to bring into the bank and it was OVER the amount we were told that was initially a week out from today’s date so interest etc was added. So we thought it would be fine. He brought it in to them and they said he had to pay even more out of pocket that same day. I have never seen such a chaotic bank environment with such ignorant employees. I highly recommend if you don’t want to get screwed over, go elsewhere. Golden Plains Credit Union in Hays KS is VERY sketchy and WILL rip you off!

Absolutely horrible. We were in the process of buying my wife a different vehicle, once we found the vehicle we wanted from the dealership, they went to retrieve the payoff information for our trade in. Once those numbers were retrieved they did the paper work and we agreed. All fine and dandy. Then 8 days later, GPCU finds out THEY made a mistake, and quoted a different vehicle. Now they are claiming we need to pay them an extra $1,000 due to there mistake. hahaha. What a joke. The ENTIRE deal was contingent on the numbers they gave us while we were at the dealership. Now 8 days later they want us to pay another $1k cause they made a mistake. We will NEVER do business with this company again. They SUCK!!!!

I have my car loan here, I didn’t have any issues when I bought it. Every time I go there they are always friendly and helpful.

4 out of 5 times we go through the drive-through our request ends up being wrong.

Tried to open an account but the lady helping us was very rude. Super unfriendly and very unprofessional. It was around 4pm so maybe she was ready to leave. Still, that’s not an excuse to being straight up mean to customers. The welcoming staff was friendly though, I liked her.
