Keep looking!!! This lender is not it! Horrible experience as first time home buyers. Samantha and Sophia were either non responsive or didn't know the answer and had to wait for Samantha who always had an emergency more important than her clients. For an investment as big as a house, you want someone who will be able to be available to you and makes sure you understand. Closing "credit" amount they said they give- never understood where it went down to closing day. Very unprofessional. The only one who was helpful and available was Jennifer but even then there were some things she needed Samantha for and that waiting game was not fun.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH BRUCE RIDER. HE EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO US TO GET US PREAPPROVED WITH THE INTEREST INCREASING DAILY HE TOLD US THAT ONCE WE SIGN OUR PURCHASE AGREEMENT HE WOULD LOCK US INTO THE INTEREST RATE THAT HE SENT TO US ON THE LOAN ESTIMATE 5.5%. FOR THE LAST 4 MONTHS WE HAD NOT HEARD FROM HIM AND ONCE WE GOT OUR CLOSING DATE HE FINALLY CONTACTED US ABOUT LOCKING IN OUR INTEREST NOW AT 6.75% THAT WE KNEW THAT WE HAD ALREADY LOCKED INTO AT 5.5%. NOW DAYS AWAY FROM CLOSING HE CONTACTED US DENYING THAT HE EVER TOLD US ANYTHING ABOUT LOCKING IN OUR INTEREST RATE. NOW WE NEED AN ADDITIONAL $5,000 THAT WE DONT HAVE. WITH THE MORTGAGE RATE THE WAY THAT IT IS, WHY ON EARTH WOULD WE NOT HAVE TO LOCKED INTO OUR INCREASE RATE AT THE LOWER END EARLIER. LOOKING FOR OTHERS THAT HE HAS DONE THIS TO BECAUSE I AM REPORTING HIM AND HIS PRACTICE.

First time buying a home so I haven't dealt with multiple lenders in my time, with that being said I never will go anywhere else. First Heritage is the BEST experience with purchasing a home. Vickie was hands down awesome! She walked us through everything and trust me I put her through calls, emails and text messages. But she was always reassuring and informative!! This was my second time using this company to purchase a house from Stanley Martin. The first time Sherry Riano was my loan agent and everything was smooth 5 STARS. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same with this time around. Samantha’ Bowies team was disappointing! To say the least I had to repeatedly request for information ( taxes) on my closing documents to be changed over six times I lost track I just told that wasn’t their job and blamed it on the closer and the closing attorney. So I had called the attorneys office myself to find, They had already sent it proper owner occupied residence three times to the closer. I still never received the final closing disclosures with the proper numbers to sign. I had to actually call in to get the amount from Samantha the morning of the closing so I could wire funds. Just a really bad experience. If you request current rates, it’s always a stall or I w we I’ll have to check. They’ll have to get back to you. How are rates not known first thing in the morning? Unfortunate.

Straight forward and to the point. Finance is not my job so I ask some pretty rudimentary questions but once I studied what I needed to ask Patrick helped me simplify some complicated concepts. For the largest financial decision I've yet to make, Patrick helped me make the right choice for now and the future.
