Stay away if you don't want to waste $500 or spend hours in trying to get a hold of your loan officer because you will never get a call back!!! George Mason Mortgage is using the most incompetent appraiser company in the entire USA! The appraiser this bank uses did not care to inspect my house at all. The report had several mistakes! Pictures on the report that stated to be my house were from another, trashy property. End result, $500 spent on a report that is faulty and useless. $500 GONE! We tried to make George Mason aware of these obvious and unacceptable mistakes in the reports, but they didn't care. Why would they, the money for it came out of my pocket, not theirs! I still don't know the exact amount of the appraisal, because Geroge Mason did not find the time (in almost 1 year) to refund us whatever is left of the $500 check. No calls returned, no mails, nothing. Just google the bank. Some other people had the exact same problems. Also, we tried to solve this problem through the BBB, but even they could not get their calls returned. Now, George Mason is one the red list of the BBB. Great job, George!

Worked with Christian on our paperwork and numbers. He was very helpful and responsive as we went back and forth on different iterations of the offer. Will definitely recommend working with him to others and would call him again for our next home purchase.
