COPOCO Community Credit Union, Bay City, MI

AWFUL. I’ve banked with COPOCO for 20+ years. It was 3 strikes and I’ve switched to FrankenmuthCU. First strike was never sending me a new debit card which in turn led me stranded at the store unable to pay for groceries. Second strike was working with their Mortgage Officer who had no idea what he was doing and making me get him figures that were in my account already. Third and final strike was paying for my down payment through the Title Company but never debiting my account. This went on for 3 months before I brought it to their attention. The mortgage officer said “we owe this guy a reward” which I know would amount to nothing. Took over 1 hour to close my account and cut me a cashier check. No one… NO ONE… questioned why I up and left and closed all of my accounts. They do not care about their members, nor do they provide customer service. The staff in undertrained and understaffed. Make the switch and save yourself the trouble. Bye bye COPOCO!

If I could give this place a negative star I would. Absolutely avoid going here. The lady in the mortgage department likes to "sush" people when they're asking questions. Extremely rude and super unprofessional.

The member service department here is exhaustingly slow. Weekday mid day and have been waiting for nearly an hour. Time to find a Credit Union that values their members time.

I have banked at COPOCO for a decade now. I have never any anything but positive and helpful experiences. Any time there has been an issue it has been worked out in a timely manner. If you bank anywhere long enough there’s bound to be issues. It’s how someone handles the issues that matter. I see alot of negative comments on here. I’m wondering if it’s just a bunch of broke people who can’t be pleased no matter what by there bank because we’ll, there so broke. That’s my guess. I usually deal with the Straits branch just off Mackinaw exit on 10. Amy the manager there is always a very pleasant person to deal with. If shes not busy and sees me coming too the door she will even open the door for me. I know it’s a small touch but in a world where no one helps anyone anymore, it means something to me. I will continue banking with COPOCO as long as they are around!

Awesome credit union with great rates. I have never received the kind of service they provided me anywhere else. Went above and beyond.

After the major software upgrade, I've had numerous issues with the card guard app for both debit and credit card. Spent a lot of time on the phone with them and no resolution, wound up cutting up the credit card and stopped using it. The last few days I'm unable to access the card guard app a for my debit card, and they will not answer the phone to help me. Since the system upgrade they hardly ever answer the phone. I've been a member over 30 years, after my loan is paid off I am going to close accounts and switch.

Don’t bank with this credit union worst mistake I’ve made is choosing this bank and I recommend not opening a checking and savings with this place at all
