Since posting the last review, a lot has changed. The service at Great Lakes Federal Credit Union has always been superb. GLFCU has extended the services they offer. I would like to thank GLFCU for helping us rebuild our credit. Great Lakes Federal Credit Union offers many competitive (low rates) financial Services for their members. I realized after writing the last review-the services GLFCU offers is an excellent fit for our family. Since using these services and taking advantage of the many benefits GLFCU offers will help many folks struggling. I would recommend Great Lakes Federal Credit Union for anyone in our area (eligible) to join. Talk to the folks there for you financial needs-you will be pleasantly surprised at how much you can save! A+

Dealing with their credit card is a big pain. I can't make payments directly to my CU+ credit card from my BOA account without Credit Union Plus threatening to bounce the payment. They want it set up as if it's a payment to a credit union account, NOT using the credit card number. So, when I go to set this up in my BOA bill pay, I have to use a inter-bank transfer method which comes with a minimum $3 fee per transaction. If I could treat the credit card like a real credit card, there would be no fee. Not worth it, I'm leaving!

Very pleased with the services I have received from Credit Union Plus. The staff have always been very friendly and they really treat you like they truly care which is a great feeling.

The workers are really helpful and give you advice that will better help you in the end rather than give them more money. They are a joy to work with!

Having an account here is great, but I am soooo frustrated that their debit cards don’t have tap to pay and they aren’t compatible with Apple Pay. This is 2023, and not being able to access my card electronically, is making me consider switching to a different CU. Their service is kind and helpful, but I’m not sure that makes up for the technology gap.

Chris Hotchkiss is a great loan officer! Very professional, always good communication, and extremely knowledgeable. He also has his real estate license, so he knows everything involved you get the home of your dreams. We have used Chris for 2 of our own personal mortgages and we would not hesitate to hire him again. 5 stars!!!
