Fifth Third Bank & ATM, Dowagiac, MI

Today, Saturday, 5-29-2021, I visited 5th Third Bank, Dowagiac, I have not been in there for quite some time and was treated to a very pleasant moment as a customer. Paula, a teller, was very pleasant and showed a distinct interest in my address (I know it appears strange to people who are not privy to Potawatomi language) so I explained it to her, she was very receptive as well as fellow teller Joey. It made for me an exceptional moment of personal pride. Thank you Fifth Third for hiring and training culturally sensitive such people. You must understand that feeling they gave to me has been a long time coming. Migwetch (thank-you in my language).

I was told in order to cash a check there I needed to open a account with them. Now that I opened the account I'm unable to deposit my checks in the account without cashing it fist and them taking a fee out & then depositing it in my account. I called for an understanding of what account I have and why it works this way & the woman had a very disturbing attitude and didn't explain to me the account differences. All in all I never have a good experience with this branch since I've started banking with them!
