Honor Credit Union - Dowagiac, Dowagiac, MI

I called Honor Credit Union on a Tuesday morning to refinance an auto loan. By Wednesday at noon loan was completed, all documents signed on-line and payoff check for other finance company was in the mail. Absolutely the easiest financing process I have ever went through.

Kristen Lewis at the Dowagiac office was more than helpful. She was very polite and courteous and very knowledgeable. It was a pleasure working with her. She is definitely a great asset for Honor Credit Union. Thank u so much Kristen!!

I applied for a HELOC loan to finish some home repairs before selling our home next spring. I was dealing with Jamie Maki. I tried to be patient, as every email I sent would go unanswered for days until I would send another email demanding a reply. If you are looking for a loan, do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time here. I am still waiting for info about cancelling the application, and what the excuse is going to be for the treatment I received. They did apologize and admitted they dropped the ball, but for me it just painted a picture of how they do business at Honor. Edit- this review is not intended for the dowagiac branch, I have no experience with them so I can’t speak as to the job they do. This review is directed at the heloc loan department, which I have no clue where it is located. Edit- just spoke with customer service and was assured the situation was going to be a positive experience from here on out. Really appreciated their attempt to make the situation right.

This credit union is awesome!! I have been with them for 5 years and have had a great experience with them. The customer service is out standing and the really do care for the members.

I can't say enough good things about this credit union. As a business owner, they are the absolute best place to go for efficient service, impeccable support and the absolute kindest people. They treat you with respect and try their very best to help you find a solution. I would specifically like to thank Janie Reifenberg. She went above and beyond to help me find a solution. She even reached out to her contacts in the community. Everyone I've met there has been wonderful.

Previously I wrote of problems with this Credit Union. Now, I am pleased to report that Honor has some good staff who actually address problems. I was eventually contacted and all discrepancies were discussed, acknowledged, and corrected very nicely. Honor made mistakes and eventually corrected them. This is a very positive sign and suitable outcome.

Inconvenient hours especially during holidays. The new drive thru machines are the worst.
