First Merchants Bank, Monroe, MI

This bank is straight trash Customer service is a straight joke they don't help you at all It keeps saying is referred to the branch do not bank here they charge you a fee to close the account if you have less than a $100 in your account monthly they charge you a fee.... to send you a statement on how much your account has they charge u a fee other banks don't have all these fees do yourself a favor and look into and go somewhere else

Over 30 years of doing business and personal banking with MB&T. The best banking experiences have been with this home town bank. Friendly staff, local people, the best service. Where other banks have had no solutions MBT has always come through.

Personally I don't use this location. But I like the friendly service,great staff and quick too. I believe people who put bad reviews about this firm lost their mind. These people clearly Arnt rasict . They must be butt hurt. I've only been at this location a handful of times but the employee working here cleared my problem in a matter of minutes. I would highly recommend this firm to friends and family.

Can’t do curbside cashing checks when COVID 19 hit or today I can’t go to any other at this time till I get new id

I really liked Monroe Bank & Trust, but I’m not a fan of First Merchants. Everything is a hassle with the online banking. It seems like the corporate office does not empower the local tellers to do anything at the local level, which makes things very inconvenient to the customer. They’ve closed branches and now downsized the downtown branch. I’m just not happy as a customer anymore. They seem really cheap and uncaring. We used to have a nice local bank, but now we have some outside organization. I don’t like it.
