I would not recommend working with Peir Point Mortage. I worked with Shannon to set up a mortgage for a duplex. The entire process was a mess. First he told me I only needed 20% down which was different than any other lender I had quote my duplex I was purchasing. So that is why I went with them. The going rate from multiple lenders was 8.5% which is what Shannon quoted me (I have emails to prove downpayment and interest rate). Whole process took way too long, about 2 months to get everything finalized and had to extend closing multiple times with the seller. Once everything was close to finalized I am told there will be a Pre Payment penalty which was never discussed. Also I needed to come up with 25% down and my interest rate would be 10.25% not 8.5%. Shannon says he wasn't aware that this was a duplex, I know that was discussed because I was only looking for duplex or multifamily. Now I am stuck with a 10.25% loan and a pre payment penalty if I pay it off early within the first year. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL.
