Wanted to give appreciation to Lori Petersen of the Saint Joseph office. My wife and I have been trying to correct our credit card reward points for over a year. We were told several times throughout the 2022 year that the reward system was having problems, the points were not being properly applied. We accepted the answer till the new system was in place. We were still missing half of our rewards. We talked with Lori who took immediate action. Told us she would call us within an hour with the answer as to what the error is. 40 minutes later Lori called and told us the situation was resolved and all of our points were applied. When we checked the system for ourselves we discovered indeed had every point, Thank you Lori, what others said was some issue beyond their control Lori resolved, that shows real commitment.

Was a rough start . But was finally put in touch with Jamie Maki . She was amazing. Very helpful, explained everything . Talked me through every step, kept in touch during entire loan process, from start to finish. World class customer service representative. Honor CU is lucky to have such a great employee.

What a scam do you have going on the fair wristband tickets? First they're $18, now they're $25? The website for the fair says Sat and Sunday they're $25, M-THUR $22. We paid 25 each×4, where is the deal? If we get to the fair and find you ripped us off? I will coming be back to your establishment for compensation. That's a difference of 28 dollars. Plus that 3 trips to deal with these wristbands. Customer service is questionable, as everytime I've dealt with you I've walked away shaking my head, wondering if my daughter should go to another credit union. I'm glad I haven't switched, because of this.

All staff here are very helpful. Yesterday I brought my 89 year old mom in for help with notarization of important papers . Lori took care of this with such a kind and professional manner.

Major issue with calling in to talk to someone I tried three times today. Even put the call me back and never received a call back. Been on for 20 minutes and the wait time has not gone down once. Saying 30 minutes still even though I have been waiting 20 already. Need to get this fixed so your customers can talk to a human being!!

Edit: Sarah Barker, the Member Center Manager, got in touch with me to get details about my issues and interactions with my original representative. I explained to Sarah that the extra money from my car loan was going to pay off three low balance but high payment/interest predatory payday loans we had to get for our emergency relocation from GA to MI this year. I explained how these loans were ruining our lives and financial stability and how I could have paid them off with a gift of money I had gotten, but followed Tyler's advice because it would have left us in a better position had it worked out, which he really pushed that he could make happen. Turns out I was denied the car refinancing, but Sarah advocated on my behalf with her superiors and managed to get my car refinancing accepted. I'm so grateful that this company cares and that they reached out to understand what happened so they can make sure it doesn't happen to another person. THANK YOU, Honor CU, and thank you, Sarah.
Original review: I followed financial advice from Tyler Curtis, hoping to get a car refinancing through them for the full value of my car to pay down additional debt. After following his advice and asking him to see if my score was adequate, he said he'd get back to me and never did. I left FOUR messages, including one stating my score had gone up again, and we could retry if I got a denial the first time. No response. No call back. Super unprofessional! If I'm not approved, just say so! I wish I had gone with my original financial plan, which wouldn't have raised my score but WOULD have left me in a better financial position monthly. I'm not mad I followed his advice because that's on me. I'm mad he GHOSTED me like a literal child.

My family and I have been members of Honor Credt Union ever since they went by the name of Berrien Teachers Credit Union. Not only have we been loyal members, but they have been even more loyal to us. I would especially like to commend Andrew Juhasz for his outstanding customer satisfaction skills & compassion. He always goes above and beyond with his customers, going that extra mile by treating them like family. We know we will remain loyal members, as we're confident we'll always be in good hands. I give them a 5-star rating and highly recommend them to anyone and everyone looking to do business with an honorable credit union!

I joined honor credit union when I was In 1st grade! I opened my account with 10 cents if I remember correctly. I am now 28 years old and I LOVE HCU! I actually moved to Florida 6 years ago and can’t bring myself to switch banks because Honor takes such good care of me and my family even from a distance. We recently did our home refinance/mortgage with Honor and it was such a great process. Matt and Gina were with us every step of the way to answer any questions we had (this is our first home!) and also made sure we were comfortable along the way. After the mortgage process was over I got a follow up call asking about my experience and if I needed Help setting up payments or anything else. Again, SO helpful! It was nice that I didn’t have to call them and get my questions answered. They beat me to it! Anyway, we have loved being a part of HCU all these years and I hope they continue with their high standard and ethics and service.
