This is a complete and honest narrative of my dealings with Matt Hodge and Supreme Lending. When I first wanted to purchase a house,someone I trusted with my life suggested Matt Hodge, so I was eager to get the ball rolling. Matt helped me through every step of the way and tried his best to explain the process. I was a new home buyer and needed help. Matt helped me through the process of getting approved for a WHEDA down payment assistance and much more. It wasn't until the end when I looked at the final number of my monthly payments was when I realized I couldn't afford the house. I had no money to afford the cash to close and that I was going to be in over my head with the payments. Matt suggested I get a gift fund from a friend to help close, I did but the gift fund fell through. This is when I knew I wasn’t meant to have the house I tried to purchase. I told Matt my situation and he was very understanding and tried to get the loan denied on the basis that I cannot afford the cash to close. Before I knew it I was getting calls at work from my realtor saying that my loan was approved and that we are going through with the purchase. I thought how could this be? I called Matt right away and he said that he was pulled from the loan and that he had no control anymore. I found out that Ben Clouter took my loan from Matt, Ben never once reached out to talk to me about what was happening, he never explained why he took the loan out from under Matt. my only assumption is that he wanted to push the loan through so he can get his money (because WHEDA buys the loan from them right away) Supreme lending had in no way shape or form had my best interest and kept me in the dark. I truly feel like Matt was the only enjoyable experience in this whole process, and to him I am grateful.
