Intrepid Credit Union, Helena, MT

Do not recommend this credit union at all. Even if you have no money in your account to pay a bill they will overdraw your account, and then charge you a fee. It will be a continuous issue. Also, something they probably won't mention to you if you are negative 50 dollars in your account. They will send you to collections. This credit union has no sympathy if you have fallen on hard times. Not family oriented at all DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BANK TO ANYONE! I have been a member since 2012 and have had nothing but problems since. The latest, my checking account was hacked and some foreign company took nearly $400! When I noticed these debits coming out & called the bank it soon became apparent I was the guilty party! I have tried since MAY to get my charges re-embursed TO NO AVAIL! I have been told different stories by several different people in the call center & when I ask to speak to HEIDI in accounting, I am told accounting doesn't talk to the public!

I have been a member of Helena Community Credit Union / Intrepid since 1981. I've been happy until lately. I had my daughter open a checking account there, and it was like the Three Stooges have taken over the place. We got poor service, total lack of communication and different answers from everyone we talked to. It was like a bad dream. I don't know what has happened there but it's not good.

Anytime I've needed help with an overdraft fee or question about my account I've always been met with kindness and speedy help. Problems are fixed the day of and the staff at all branches is just the sweetest

I have been a member for many years. I have financed most of our home purchases with the Credit Union. My most recent mortgage transaction was handled professionally and quickly. The staff and loan officers at Intrepid are the best and I would highly recommend anyone wanting to finance a home that you give them an opportunity to assist you.

Best place to bank in Helena had my car loan through intrepid all I had to do was ask them to set it up the way I wanted and never had a problem. They treat you like a human instead of a dollar sign with there patience, and there tone they explain everything in way that makes sense to you and will take there time answering any questions. I suggest taking your business here.

Tamara at the Kessler branch was super helpful and kind when I swung in to do some banking. She was professional and made sure I understood some thingss about my account that I didn't before. That's the kind of service that makes a guy keep his business at this bank, thanks Tamara!

They have high overdraft charges, high interest when my credit is decent, and they lock my card on payday when I try and use cashapp even when I call them twice it still stays locked. Abby on the other end of the phone, her phone cuts out constantly and she has been extremely unhelpful. Stay away from this bank.
