State Employees’ Credit Union, Kinston, NC

WORST bank ever! I have been with State Employees Credit Union for over 16 years! Not once have I been told that I cannot deposit/cash a check without a 2 to 3 day hold! They said that because I don't regularly bank at that location they would have to hold my check for a few days. I have been in Raleigh (I don't live in Raleigh )and cashed a check and not have a problem at all! Wow, I am really glad that this was not a medical emergency!

The tellers were rude. Never said thank you or hello just come up and Next!! Told me to go outside to call a number to open an account. The associates at the desk were also rude when asking for my ID. The banker who opened my account was friendly. However I will never return to this branch due to this encounter. I’m a retail manager and I look forward to telling everyone I encounter about the experience I had at SECU on airport road. Kayla Baysden is extremely rude. Never banking there AGAIN. Now yell that!! I would give zero stars if I could.

Absolutely no remorse from the loan officer who "approved" my loan then had the audacity to say "oh because we didnt tell you that we needed tax documents since your a contractor - we cant honor the approval we had the nerve to tell you that you had" Literally once I get a way back up there im closing my account I just reopened and will never step foot here again. Wasted my whole day believing a lie.

Don’t apply for a loan here. You’ll be told your approved just for them to snatch it away from you because they failed to give you full information. Literally wasted my whole day with them. Wish I never reopened an account here
