John and has team were absolutely amazing! He helped us with our loan so we could move back to NC from FL. We were amazed at how great he was. Even when he was out of town on vacation he took time to talk to me, get some paperwork sent to real estate agent and get some things completed quickly so we could put offer on our home before anyone else did. He made sure to get us a great rate on our loan. And even though we are now in our new home and John has officially completed his duties he continues to answer any questions we have. We are truly thankful and grateful for everything they did for us!! We were able to be in our home for Christmas!!

Your mortgage will be sold no matter what they tell you. I went with John Schmidlin based on him telling us (numerous times) that Amerifirst does not sell their mortgages. Guess what? 3 years later, they sold it to Carrington Mortgage services. I had a terrible experience with my mortgage being sold a decade ago, and didn't want to go through that again....which was why I went with Amerifirst (John Schmidlin). I guess I learned a valuable lesson though, read the fine print, and don't trust anyone thats apt to make a buck off of you.
