Staff was knowledgeable and helpful on recommendations for a gun purchase. They were available to demonstrate how slides work and if I would be able to handle the adjustment when firing. I appreciated their honesty.

Wow...I hadn't been in this place in a long time, but decided to stop by. When I walked in I thought they were going out of business, but didn't realize the store had a differentowner. No selection, high prices, and most shelves are empty. This used to be the best pawn shop around.

After the change in owners this business has went completely down hill. You can never get any help at gun counter, and even if you do the firearms are over priced. The people who work there also have a lack of knowledge about firearms. Plus the hours say they close at six but if you get there at 5:30 the systems are already shut down. Poor business.

Extremely rude customer service, this place has definitely changed since new owner took over, and I REFUSE to do any business with a company who is a follower of the sheep brigade. Hope all your employees will enjoy unemployment when people stop coming there. Horrible business stay away from

This used to not only be the best pawn shop in Lenoir but in my opinion the best pawn shop in Caldwell County. Just recently however they have been bought over buy a company based out of Texas and everything is changing for the worst. The thing about American trade and Loan that made it so great was the ambience of its employees and its environment. that's all changing , remodeling of the whole store, completely new employees who are not friendly at all. I hate to see an awesome place be thrown away like this

Number one their customer service sucks. Number two they say it is going to send you a text message. Whenever your first payment is due before it continues to add interest they do not do that. Number three all the employees are rude and disrespectful except for the older gentleman. For three they try to rip you off then don’t give you nearly what is worth. so from future experience, I recommend nobody go to first Cash pawn in Lenoir North Carolina. You will get screwed and treated like you’re a dog. Thank you good luck

Discussed a vinyl cutter I wanted to purchase from Facebook for 2 days! Was told to come on Thursday by Selina so of coarse I waited. Told her Thursday I would be by in a couple of hours to purchase. Drove all the way from Claremont to pick up the item. After driving an hour to pick this item up I walk in only to be told they just sold it!!!!!!!!! I mean really it should have been put to pending after I clearly said I was coming. This place is a joke don’t waste your time!!! They sure did waste my time and money!!!!

Today we went in to the American Trade and Loan. We were not greeted as we came in. My husband looked around at tools. I went straight to jewelry as I always do in a pawn shop. There were 2 watches I wanted to look at. 3 people were working. One was on the computer. One was at the cash register. The other seemed to be assisting others as they came in to pawn things. They told us someone would be with us in a moment. There was a 90% chance I would have bought one watch. As we were still standing there waiting a man came in with a gun to pawn. They immediately started looking at his gun for pawning. It seems the American Trade and Loan is more concerned with giving out money than taking it in. No one spoke to us as we left either. Very disappointing visit. We won't be back. Stick with Steve's Pawn Shop where they pay attention to you and appreciate that you are there.
