Self-Help Credit Union, Wilmington, NC

I use this particular office for depositing checks and cash from a sister credit union. The folks working here are always helpful, friendly, and quick.

I made a deposit of cash in their ATM on Friday May 27th. The deposit should have been instant because it was cash, instead it wasn't recorded or applied to my account because they had an error with the ATM, so memorial day weekend I had no access to my money. I called Tuesday May 31st and Patsy got on it, late weds afternoon they finally verified my deposit even though they counted the ATM and found it on Tuesday. Here we are Thursday and again I have no access to my money. This is beyond unacceptable. They expect people to be nice about messing with their money after they had me wait all week to access my funds and then within a day it's back to the b.s. I'm leaving this bank asap. I would not put your money in the care of self help credit union not if you plan to use it. Just to be clear my problem is with the bank not the employees, all the ladies at the wilmington nc branch are amazing, they are polite, they got out of their way to make you feel valued, they know who you are and call you by name, they are the only reason I've stayed with this bank for as along as I have.

I’ve only been a member here for a few months and I must say that the staff is absolutely amazing! Always friendly, knowledgeable, and the customer service is top notch! Chase has been nothing but helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend!

Great group of folks! Always willing to help in anyway they can. I highly recommend if you need help getting buying a home and other lenders won't help.

I had my identity stolen and it ruined my credit. This bank helped me build my credit back to what I had it before. I might have had to put in some work but well worth it in my opinion. I love the staff, they treat everyone like family. I will keep driving to Wilmington for my banking needs.

After I got out of the Military it took me awhile to find a banking "home" but Self-Help was it! The Staff is Awesome , Courteous, Professional, Friendly and Always there to lend a hand in time of need! I would most Definitely recommend Self-Help to Friends and Business Associates alike!
