It's not always that you get someone courteous, patient, and helpful when calling. However, I had the pleasure to work with Marquita who was just so professional, patient, and kind. She displayed true customer service. She explained everything without rushing through. She had no problem repeating anything or making any changes. She was such a pleasure to work with.

I don't normally take out loans but this process was very easy, I spoke to a young lady by the name of marquita who helped me every step of the way, I was in a rush but her customer service was so warm and welcoming. When you call up ask for her...outstanding work,she needs a raise.

I took out a loan with Mariner Finance about 2 years ago and it has been a complete nightmare. Their interest rate is outrageous, they have no consideration nor sympathy as to struggles people may be facing in life. I had an accident which caused a knee dislocation which caused me to be out of work and in turn caused me to be late on payments & prevented me from making payments for a couple of months. Then going through the COVID pandemic & then losing my car in the Natural Disaster/Hurricane Ida that hit New Jersey on 9/1/22. Now that I’m back on my feet, have been faithfully paying on my account for the past 10 months or so, they refuse to remove my account from collections off my credit report. This collection account is affecting my credit score & preventing me from getting another car. They have absolutely no programs such as deferments or extensions on payments so if you’re looking into this loan company you better make sure nothing happens or is going to happen to you in your life for the duration of the loan contract that may be out of your control, because they will not care nor work with you. God is still good, and I will still get through this.

I just want to start with unprofessional the whole phone call was. I highly doubt that ever associate there is the same. But wow this one took my breath away (not in a good way) I kept myself cool and tries my best not to show frustrated because I know people are starting new jobs, but this was just completely unprofessional. I really hope this phone call was recorded. It started by the person on the phone explaining me the procedure because the last person yelled at her. I was just like um ok? She kept talking about food over and over again instead of my loan, hmm what am I gonna have for lunch, Than dinner.. I’m being patient and nice just laughed even though this is not what I’m calling about. I am a current customer so right off the bat she told me I qualify for at least the 1900 which was the difference from my original loan. But let me try and get you to qualify for the 10k requested. She does her math of 13k a month supposedly even tho my YTD is currently at 240k and that should be 20k a month. I had to specifically ask myself can I sent ou my paystubs to review? She said sure you can do that. I send it 3 hours later I get a call back. “Yeah we can’t do anything” so I go ok can we review the 1900 we established in the beginning? No we can’t help you, you’ll get something in the mail. And hung up. I personally don’t care and usually don’t even leave reviews but I couldn’t believe this. If a manager gets to see this please review the call and you need to retrain your staff. Kept asking co workers for help, all I heard was loud music in the background like I was in on the phone with a night club. The whole thing was ridiculous and will never ever do business with mariner again. I will try and reach corporate as I don’t think they would appreciate you guys representing the company the way it was done. I read the previous reviews and it’s clearly fake reviews. Probably asked old customers for a nice review to bring their rate up. Unless I just unfortunate got the one bad apple from this branch.

I had an amazing experience with Brenda at Mariner. From start to finish she was transparent about where we were at in the process and incredibly pleasant to talk to. If you want to work with Mariner, I highly recommend Brenda!!

I was very pleased. Albert Camacho was excellent to deal with as was the rest of the staff. Polite ad Professional. Great company to work with. I would rate my experience dealing with the as 5 star rating.

Albert, who was my advisor was extremely helpful. As I spoke to him before I went to the office I had all the paperwork needed to successfully get my loan. I had used Mariner Finance before and was satisfied. This second time was even a better experience.
