I read a good review although old, saying that the undisclosed fees were high, but worth the customer service, and I wanted the customer service!
Try #1- I Called asking for 203k loan info but they had no clue what it was and said they did it have that. I told them They did because it was all over the website and then hung up on me.
Try #2 - called back and got someone else who also did not know about their 203k product but at least was willing to go find out about it. Came back took my info and transferred me to the local office near the property. Phone number I was transferred to was non-working.
Try #3 - Tried calling the local office directly, phone not working.
Checked the reviews and realized that I just needed to Just move on. Doesn’t seem customer service is a priority. If it was all going wrong out of the gate, I didn’t want to even think about the complex 203k journey with them.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. I won a tax appeal and contacted them to adjust the collected escrow. They admitted to the NJ Dept. of Banking that their customer service hung up on me several times and that supervisors did not call back as promised. I filed a complaint against them and they did an escrow analysis and increased my escrow payment based on my home owners ins and flood ins need to catch up.. My home owners went up $13 and my flood $2. They increase my monthly payment by $27. Oh and my taxes went down $884 after an appeal but loancrapo doesn't care.. Call and listen to they state how customer care is their priority . Just remember to bend over and bring the vaseline!!!

Avoid it all costs. They sent the final closing statement less than 90 MINUTES Before the closing, with completely different numbers than what were outlined on the supposedly final closing statement that was sent out previously. (Yes, two “final” closing disclosures were sent ... really.)
To make matters worse, all of the subsequent mortgage paperwork had numerous errors that carried over at the prior closing statement in accurate numbers. Incredibly sloppy and untimely. Those are two words that you should never want to have associated with a mortgage company whose sole job is to be fast and, above all else, accurate.
I am an attorney, and for those who may be less likely to scrutinize the numbers, this may have slipped by. All of the above, however, is far from normal, and I would think or hope that anyone would catch these flagrant errors.
UPDATE: It took a call to the company's executive VP and General Counsel to have this resolved. They stated that the multitude of errors that occured should not have in the first place (no kidding); and they further made things right when this local office was not willing to (or responsive, for that matter).

Horrible experience with loan modification @ loandepot. I have been going through it for 5 months now with no resolution because of a company employee’s error. Now, due to this employee’s error I’m at risk of loosing my house. I don’t recommend this company to anyone.
