First Financial Credit Union - Silver City, Silver City, NM

I have had the Best banking experience of my life with First Financial Silver City Branch. They are always willing to help in any way they can. Their costumer service is impeccable and they make banking easy and simple.

I’ve been with this credit union since it was Chino Federal Credit Union in Bayard, All I have are good things to say it even now that it’s First Financial Credit Union,the employees are always nice and very friendly and helpful!

Could not resolve a fraudulent charge without issuing a new debit card, and a new pin. Two weeks.

Rough start with a disrespectful teller "helping" a more polite teller. The disrespectful teller made unprofessional decisions that appeared to be made based on my appearance ("we don't know that he's a doctor") when I asked to have my title added to my account. She then tried to cover her behavior by actually finding out the rules? The district manager was helpful in finding a solution; the branch manager appeared to be defensive and in a hurry to get off the phone. Will wait and see if I'll continue to bank here.

My initial review was seen by the branch manager and he personally called me to correct the issue. The main issue I had was fixed and I was refunded. I highly recommend by passing the ABQ customer service personnel and speaking directly to someone at the branch. Ryann- I called this morning trying to explain that a company was pulling out an unauthorized amount and I had resolved the issue with the company, that the refund will be posted. Just over $300 will be placed back into my account. I told the agent that this amount being pulled had caused my account to have non sufficient funds but because the NSF fees were due to the other transactions, I will not be refunded the fees. The agent also stated something about me using my first time refunds last year. That instance was the same issue but I wasn’t aware that they only give refunds once.

Update: after seeing my review, the branch manager called me to apologize for my husband's experience today. I don't have an account with First Financial in Silver City, but I was told by Nusenda CU in Albuquerque that this is their sister CU and I would be able to conduct transactions there. I had considered changing my account to FF but after several horrible interactions with them, I will never use them again. Today, my husband went in to get change for 2 twenty dollar bills and they refused to give him change because he supposedly isn't on the account. He has always been on the account! He showed them his debit card and they still wouldn't. First of all, why do I need an account to get change? Isn't that part of what you do? The teller was extremely rude and did not try to help. Never again, and I suggest you think twice before you give them your business.
