I am a Western Bank customer and have been for over 10 years. I also am currently a Western Bank employee. I am posting as a customer. I recently had my first experience where my debit card had a fraudulent charge. Their monitoring caught the charge and contacted me before it cleared my account! They confirmed whether it was a legitimate charge, blocked the charge from clearing, canceled my compromised debit card, and ordered me a new card. Thank you Western Bank and staff for looking out for your customers! I am very grateful!

I have been with western bank for both personal, business, home loans, car loans. They are a incredible bank with fantastic employees. Best decision I made for the last 15 years. I can’t say enough about them.

Western Bank was ok at holding my money; just not great at letting me deposit, withdraw, or use online services. After not using my account for a year, I started getting $10 fees each month. Trying to resolve this issue was a pain especially with the teller Angelina who was extremely condescending and rude. I spoke with the manager Carlos who agreed to refund me $10 out of the $30 fees I accrued. Then I had them close my account. If a bank is holding my money they are making money from it, yet they charge me for allowing them to use my money. Be careful of hidden fees here, also some of the tellers are rude and not helpful.

The people who open accounts are pretty nice. slow but nice. However, they don't really have 'traditional' checking accounts (so you can write a check). it was nice to get my ATM card same day but, you can only pull money out or pay for something, you can't use it to make deposits. And don't walk in at a16:30 (that's 4:30pm) and try to deposit a payroll check they will tell you that you will have to come back the next day. Payroll from a business that has been open for over 20 years. I didn't want to take money out, I just wanted to deposit it. I didn't want to have to come back AGAIN, as gas money isn't cheap. I work for a living just like everyone else. I wouldn't recommend this bank to anyone that is busy or needs a convenient account. And when making an indoor deposit Don't go to the teller, she was pretty snotty. With so many banks offer so much more.... well lets just say I went back to a different bank. Thank you

In the process of switching banks. Your government check isn't deposited on the first, and they "have no control over that". Your automatic payments are taken out a day early and "they have no control over that". Start with another bank because switching is a pain.
