Empower Federal Credit Union, Canandaigua, NY

I went through Empower for a vehicle loan on recommendation from the dealer after my bank put ridiculous restrictions on what vehicle I could get. Empower had no such restrictions, the service was friendly and quick, and the staff were extremely helpful with all the details I didn't think of. Everyone I dealt with on the phone and in person seemed so happy to help me and payment are super easy online.

Their hours aren't the longest, and the location isn't the biggest and easiest to find, but they have been very helpful every time I've needed to use this branch. Happy to have a branch in the general Rochester area.

Their new system not only makws me feel uneasym i was hung up 27+ times the cday afterit was put in place trying after to call them by their automated call system. About to leavecthe bank for good. Four hours later into trying to call still no voice to voice contact

Said they were open until 5pm so I drove 40 minutes to get there at 4:40 pm and they were closed

Loan Officer seemed to be asking A LOT of questions, trying to duplicate my business model. Would not recommend.

All i wanted was to speak with someone about gettig a new debit card and was on hold for well over the estimated time given, will most likely be switching banks. ANSWER YOUR PHONES!!!!

Won't consider new loans if you have any open regardless of being up to date and on time with payments; ridiculous with overdraft fees. Not a very personable bank. Unfortunate as they used to be and have just gone steadily downhill. Shame.
