Trustco Bank, Hudson Falls, NY

Signed up for overdraft protection with 2 branch associates. After an overdraft they can't find any signs that I signed this paperwork. Kind of concerning a bank is losing paperwork and costing its customers money.

I don't appreciate how I got to this location 1 min after 5pm when they seemingly close and instead of a courteous and professional thing to do and say, "excuse me ma'am, sorry, we are closed," they locked the door when I'm through the front door and INCHES from him!! Then goes to snicker off with their co-worker. Luckily I was just there to use the ATM. Definitely wouldn't make an account here!!

Last year went to Trustco to deposit $35g check. Deposited & walked out. Luckily we went back a few days later. Checking the balance, something ain't jiving! They deposited it into my son's account! Hmmm! That kinda inconvenient! Monday I wanted to flip $$ into a cd. Keep it in house. Safer, easier. After 10 minutes of asking me for my social, I realize my $$ are at jeopardy! I take my stuff & tell the manager I'm late for dinner! Drive down the road 1 mile & walk into the sound of "hello, thank you for stopping in!" I look around thinking.. no way they're talking to me! 30 minutes of laughter & I walk out confident my money is safe. 48 hours later I get a call from Trustco. Here I'm figuring they want to know how to service a 35 year customer better. Nope! I get blindsided by someone irritate & she starts schooling me! Oh boy, "the customer's always right" must have been shelved during social etiquette class! I am done with that! I will be grabbing the rest tomorrow! I felt like a 3rd wheel on a unicycle long enough.
