My account got hacked and nbt put a freeze on my account. Because I have moved out of state I decided it would be easiest to close my account. I wrote a letter to the branch manager Jackie and sent it ups which arrived on Wednesday. I followed up with her to confirm and she said she received it and will work on it. I also included a prepaid next day air back to me. Tracked my package on Friday and nothing. Called Jackie said she was out of office day before and would do it that day.
Today is Sunday and my tracking number is stating it has not been shipped. I am extremely upset. I paid extra money to get a check back quicker, my rent is late because of this non attentive so called employee.

Miscalculated my solar loan rebate by $7000 and expected me to still pay $11000 for zip portion. They lied to me about renegotiating if I paid some of it, and changed the renegotiation date from June 2019 to 2029! Now I'm out thousands of dollars in emergency cash and still have to payer higher interest on the loan which they refuse to reopen for another amortization! Even when I explained my next solar loan is going to a different bank if they fix this, they just keep giving me conflicting information and excuses. One guy said they'd only been in business 2 years. This company was founded in the 1800's! Every time I call, someone assures me they will fix this, so far, hasn't happened.

Customer service is so good - always polite, professional and helpful. I'm rarely in there longer than 10 minutes. The lobby is always spotless, and I love that they support local artists by hanging framed artwork selected each month from the Council of the Arts.

One of the worst banks..i have an HSA account with NBT that i have been trying to transfer funds to another HSA account. all the requested documents from NBT have been submitted, however still the NBT bank is not releasing the funds.. i regret that i had an account with NBT in the first place. also, since there is no activity, the online account activity is seized, now i can not even see my balance. worst bank to work with. staff did not know why the account could not be viewed online, after several efforts and phone calls finally i could find out the inactivity on the account is the issue. can you believe in today`s fast pace world, such slow bank process is still exisitng

They will scam you a y way they can. We over paid on a car loan, they will not pay the money back. They are fighting it. You owe money to a family that doesn't have that much money. Bad business

I have a HSA here and they are taking a ridiculous amount of time to transfer it to my new account. Just an awful experience from the beginning years ago when I couldn’t set-up online banking and several customer service reps didn’t help. Glad to be done with this awful bank.
