Despite paying off a car loan, NBT has refused to release the car's title or provide a signed lien release letter. Customer service calls lead to nothing but incompetent staff and long wait times. Avoid NBT for any and all financial transactions.
UPDATE: After Yolanda did not respond to my last email, I filed consumer complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the State of New York, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Only after the Comptroller's office reached out to NBT on 10/1/20, did the car's title arrive to our home. It's not a coincidence that the title was also post marked on 10/1, the same day that the Comptroller contacted NBT. Please NEVER do business with this bank.

Friendly staff, usually quick service. They have a drive up available. The location is small but it's convenient and central.

UPDATE: My sincere apologies about the review below I wrote a month ago. It was not your bank that cashed the check, it was a Chase Bank that cashed the check on our NBT account. I will leave this posted for awhile and then rewrite it in the positive, my apologies again.
You really need to train your tellers not to cash a $2400.00 check with no name/business on the check! And then want to charge $35.00 a month to do what you could not do in the first place, protect our account! Armature's?
