I deposited a check into a joint account I share with my wife last Friday. Did not see it hit our savings. Gave it a couple days and finally called. The man(teller) who did the deposit called me back after I spoke with a woman who said she would investigate it. I wish I knew the mans name.
The man insisted it was in our account but the savings only my wife can see. She told me it wasn't in there and I relayed that to the guy. He pushed back and then finally told me the names on the account. Which was totally incorrect and not the right people.
He deposited our check into someone else account when I gave him my KeyBank card and my wives name was on the check. He then says "whoops, human error". Then raised his voice and gave me attitude when I was a little upset this happened. Like I didn't have the right to be a little upset my money was given to someone else.
He continued to raise his voice and tell me it was human error and that happens. I understand mistakes happen but he wasn't apologetic, was rude and wrongly defensive. How a teller at KeyBank thinks it is alright to apply a deposit to the totally wrong person then get defensive and raise there voice is totally unacceptable.
This could have cost me much more than an unpleasant phone call and the teller did not care. "Just human error, it happens"

Absolutely ridiculous that this bank does not have short hours on a Saturday.
