M&T Bank, Rome, NY

The staff are friendly they helped me.they are little strict on the requirements and charged a fee for a check to cash( I don't have account with them)Other then that very helpful and friendly

Went to the Rome, NY branch 10 minutes ago to open up a joint account after getting married this past weekend. After we arrived we were told to drive 20 minutes to the New Hartford or the Canastota branch because they are "better staffed"- they basically didnt want to deal with us at all; there were 5 + staff and zero customers waiting! But when we called this morning, we were told to bring both our ID's and come right down. There are over 6 different banks in a quarter mile radius from that location, needless to say we are at the competitor across the street opening an account as we speak.....Super offensive!

I really don’t get the negative reviews. We have been coming here for years and they are so friendly and accommodating! Such a great bank and wonderful employees!

Not what you would expect from a bank that depends on providing satisfactory customer service to obtain and keep clients. Several major mistakes in providing information. Web site is particularly difficult to use.

If I could give a zero star, I would've! One of the worst banking experiences of my life!!
