Milton Savings Bank, Milton, PA

Lisa and Terri could not have been more helpful through the process of obtaining a mortgage through Milton Savings Bank. They provide personalized attention, are incredibly responsive, and have that "hometown" feel to their service. My family and I will not hesitate in giving our business to Milton Savings Bank in the future.

Tried to go through Milton Savings for a mortgage. They had it appraised by someone that just got her license and didn’t know what she was doing. She compared properties from like 1997, 2010, and closest date of 2018 and we all know market has changed drastically from 2018 alone. Wasn’t appraised near what I needed it to be and everyone that seen it without telling them what it’s appraised at said it’s worth much more and should be no problem getting appraised. Instead of re-appraising they said I’d need to come up with 28 thousand more at closing and tried to talk me into taking out a personal loan with their bank. I don’t know if appraiser and bank were working together to try to get more money but had to get a second opinion with Northumberland National Bank. They had appraiser right out the following week and appraised out at 45 THOUSAND more????? I wasted time and money for a bogus appraisal. There is no way there should be a 45 THOUSAND dollar difference in a week or two with no updates. Not happy to waste over 650 dollars for bogus appraisal that the person had no experience handling. They got there money that’s all that matters. Should of been handled by someone that knew what they were doing and looking at. I understand business is business but I trusted in paying for a FAIR appraisal. Appraiser or someone should be held accountable for the cost. Always get a second opinion if don’t feel like it’s right!

“Very Bad” rating from me. I’ve called many times in the past month, to speak to the Manager, and they tell me he’s in a meeting, he’ll call me back. I’m still waiting.....I supervised a PA , Dept of Labor and Ind Agency for 14 yrs, covering 4 Counties, and your local bank manager is too busy to call me back..??? Sounds like he’s well protected there, in his local bank. Tom Dow, District 18 Chaplain, American Legion, PA.....and I cover 5 Counties...Amen
