First State Bank, Livingston, TX

I went into FSB of Livingston to open a business checking account. I told the person helping me that remote deposit on the app was a requirement for my business. It took 2 hours to open the business account. A week later I tried to set up remote deposit on the app, the set up was declined and the app directed me to call the bank. I went to the bank to get to the bottom of it. Turns out remote deposit is not an available on commercial accounts. Why didn't the rep tell me that BEFORE I wasted over 2 hours sitting there while she opened the account? I guess she did not listen well enough to hear what was important to me? I stated it very clearly. Did she not know about that limitation? Seems like an important limitation to the service in this digital age. Or did she not care and just wanted to open the account and the points or commission for opening a new account? I do not know. What do you know is this bank does not listen to the customer, wasted 2 hours of my time for an account that does not meet my needs, that I clearly expressed before the process started? They do not listen, do not know their own products, and don't respect customer’s time. If you are a small business, I suggest you bank elsewhere. I should send them a bill for MY time. I will be finding a bank that listens and meets my needs as soon as possible.

Horrible the way people at this bank treat you, Brianna/Brianne for one, local dealer picking up a payoff/title in person, they asked us to bring cash to release a title or wait for 10 days. 3 kinds of rude at the same time and hung up on me. We've picked up several payoffs/title from 1st State same day without issue in the past. Will notify state that Lender was unwilling to negotiate title with wire transfer or cashiers check. We will bring the $14K cash I guess? Never could do business with them. FNB Livingston or PSB Texas ONLY ones to deal with.

this bank family has given me outstanding help on many occassions, going way beyond my expectations. Can't pick out a specific example because I needed help in several areas and each & every one excelled.

If I could zero stars I would but only to one employee. I'm newer to the area but have come in several times over the past 3 months and I'm disabled. I've tried to go to the desk at the end due to it being shorter but the woman behind the desk is almost always asleep. Once I came in and I woke her and she did not help me instead she sent me to another station. All of the other employees seem friendly and helpful but why is someone being paid to sleep? Please move her from the handicap desk. This is against ADA compliance.

I have banked with First National for years with no issues. Service has always been great. First State bank has been in charge for a day and I am less than impressed to say the least. Has been a major inconvenience so far.

Unfortunately had my first bad experience with someone who refused to give her name.... drive through. The name plate in front of her said Cheyenne, but my dad was trying to make sure it was her name. So my mom just switched over completely to this bank. She filled it the paperwork with her and my dad's info. My dad attempted to deposit his check minus $100. She stated he wasn't on the account. My mom, over the phone, insisted he was. My dad told them just deposit the whole thing. This woman said they can't deposit his check into the account without the account holder present! 🤦‍♀️ Maybe so? I've been depositing my grandma's checks for years without her present. The lady was over all rude and the way she said "yall have a blessed day" was totally unnecessary. Very child like and snide.
