DuPont Community Credit Union, Lexington, VA

I switched to DuPont several years ago and I have never had a bad experience! Their staff has always been professional and eager to assist me. Great place to do all of your banking!

I was a bit skeptical due to scandals involving the parent company, however based on a friend's recommendation I gave this Credit Union over a year to prove itself and in that time all it proved was that it was by far the worst banking institution I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with which will soon be coming to an end. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE USE THIS CREDIT UNION FOR BANKING!!!

I really haven't decided if this will be my "forever bank" once I retire. Their online banking site is generally awful. Services can be terribly slow. For example. While I can list another bank account with them, there is a 10 day hold on all transfers to my draft (checking) account. Some non-sensical things like: I have a credit card with them. I must pay it from money stored in their draft (checking) account if I'm doing an online payment. Of course it takes 10 days for a transfer deposit. Reasonable rates of return on savings/CDs/IRAs. Easy to take out a loan but someone somewhere along the way will make small errors to slow the process down. Reasonable rates on their Master Card product. Nice promotions and community service programs. If you are doing a basic checking and savings account without any expectations then you will be served well. But, then you can get that anywhere.

Best bank I have dealt with friendly staff and good service

I called earlier this week specifically to find out if the DuPont community credit Union Bank in Lexington was going to be open on Friday. I was told they were. I needed to get a cashiers check and I’m only back in town through the weekend. The doors are locked. I called the number for the credit union and it said the branches would be open on Saturday. However the sign on the door does not show that this branch is open on Saturday. Now what does DCC you want to do for me? You have put me out and caused me to change my schedule after I was told you would be open. This is not customer service.
