Free advice don't go to Golden Star group in Woodbridge, with Brian Eller Branch Manager Gold Star Financial Mortgage Corp. I had a horrible experience, I lost a lot of money. After they received my income documents, they gave me a pre- approval very easily. I sent to them all what they needed to prove my income . They said everything is O.K. I found a house and I signed a contract to buy it, and I paid a lot of money for deposit and other expenses. He told me to break the lease for my apartment where I live and that cost me fees. Three days before my move to the new home, they decline the loan. They didn't even answer my emails and phone calls.

Absolutely horrible experience. I am a licensed real estate agent and referred a client to this company. My client did everything he was told from start to finish by the lender after receiving a pre-approval letter from this company for a loan and ended up homeless because his loan was not approved at the last minute. Goldstar had the loan for 45 days and fudged it up over and over and especially at the end after promise after promise to all parties that the loan would go through. My client was devastated. Called the loan officer after the loan fell through, sent texts and still to this day, the loan officer doesn't even have the decency to call me back. I will NEVER refer this company to anyone.

Let me start by advising if anyone goes to Gold Star Mortgage in Woodbrige DO NOT go with Scarlett Hauyon. She was referred from a Realtor and I though she was going to help my boyfriend out with his Mortgage loan. Since the beginning we asked her to please review all his paper work to see even if he would qualify. Scarlett provided with an approval Letter. We had questions along the way and she took days to get back to us. SHE WILL NOT ANSWER PHONE CALLS, EMAILS OR TEXTS. She is so irresponsible with keeping her clients aware of what is going on. We were supposed to close on the house by the end of September(29th) the week before she said that on the 14th of September the regulations of the loan grant programs changed. We had all of our paper work to her in August. She NEVER MENTION THIS UNTIL 3 or 4 days before closing date. We were not able to close and had to wait a week and we had to come up with money to be able close. Due to her unresponsability we had to rent a hotel room for a week with our puppy. We spent too much money and at the end WE DID NOT CLOSE. Our realtor look the loan to the sellers loan officer and he told us that Scarlett had done things wrong. SHE NEVER ANSWER US BACK SO YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW SHE IS. We ended up loosing half of the deposit and she never called or anything until this point... I am not sure why is she working as a loan officer and how Gold star has her as an employee. IF YOU WANT A HOME DON'T GO NEAR SCARLETT!

I'd cautiously recommend using Gold Star Mortgage Financial Group for a refinance. I had a rough experience with a loan officer with previous company, but once I was transferred over to Gold Star Mortgage Financial Group, the process went quickly and smoothly.
