The bank manager returned my phone call the same day and took care of my needs immediately. Excellent customer service.
(Actully this post above is a lie. The original story goes: ....the bank refused to return my fee.....so I left a negative review explaining the story. The bank manager called me and told me IF I delete my negative review, she would then granted me the refund. And she did.)
Strongly dislike the bank and their services.

Ever wonder how Sound Community Bank (SCB) can generate $27.6M in revenue? Part of it comes from taking money from children. SCB charged my 13 year old daughter $5 a month in service fees. When I called to ask why, the SCB associate said it was because my child's account was inactive. When I point out that my other two daughters had the same account and same "activity" level but weren't charged $5, he then said it was because the balance was below $100. I then pointed out to him that the account balance was below $100 because they charged her service fee that brought the balance below $100. He basically then had no response.

Dina was very helpful at fixing the overdraft issue we had. It’s really unfortunate that they do not have overdraft protection anymore. In the last two months, we have had so many overdraft fees when we have had the account for years and never had one before. I hope the company can fix the new overdraft policy because it is very unfortunate, especially when money is tight due to Covid.

Sound Community Bank was the only local bank I found that offered the service I needed, a CD secure loan. They walked me through the process step by step and provided information and reassurance the whole way. I am so grateful for their extra help and personal attention. Highly recommend!

It is almost impossible to contact local bank personnel by phone! Your call is shunted to a central answering service ( not the branch) and after listening to a mind bending number of other options you MAY be lucky enough to be connected to a person! This person then MAY connect you to your branch after listening to a long list of recorded 'other options'. It is strange that the bank makes it so difficult to speak to a real person at you own branch. This system is no way attuned to the customer's wish to talk to a 'real person'. Having said all that, the actual folks working at the branch are wonderful........
