My words are just this agency are just high end con men. A good sign was that he wanted us to fill out reviews for them before we even concluded our business with them. That was a red flag. After doing some research thru the bbb and some other review sites i found out alot of rotten things. John will tell you u only need x down payment then at day of signing you will need much more. I also found out he chronically doesn't pay your insurance or city taxes. Which you will be stuck holding bill in a year or 2. Not sure which he doesn't pay cause this was 8 months ago. I think it was the pmi insurance. I did drop John Asseff and chose another lending company. Thank god. IMO John is a master manipulator. He plays on your feelings and uses your needs and hopes against you to squeeze as much money as he can out of you. I hope this helps someone.

As a real estate agent, my client chose Cross Country represented by Mr. Asseff as the lending institution. What should have been a 45 day process turned into 120+ days as three separate loans were tried, and I had to fight to keep the sellers on board with our transaction. I pray that I have no further clients who want to use this agency, as the service has been abysmal.

Stephanie and Tara are wonderful ladies and very helpful. John is very unprofessional always say he would call back but never did. Asked for my appraisal to be canceled and he said it was and I canceled 3 days in advance he canceled it the day of and the appraisal people had already gone out and they said i had to talk to John about getting my 275.00 back and he said he would call back like he had throughout the whole process and like always no response. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. In my eyes he is a thief. IM JUST THANKFUL THAT HE IS THE ONE WHO WILL HAVE TO ANSWER TO GOD ON JUDGMENT DAY.

This lender is loaning money to the buyers of our home. He has delayed and not done his job for almost a month. Our original closing date was supposed to be November 20th. It is now December 10th, and according to the law firm handling closing yet again we will not meet our closing date tomorrow December 11th. I would not use this lender ever. We have a back up offer on our house and if we would have known this lender was going to be this much of a problem, we would have taken the back up offer. And may still have to. Very disappointing!

John and his team were great to work with. Extremely knowledgeable and kept us informed through every step of the process. Always working toward making our situation better. Start to finish the were hand in hand with us and made us feel like we matter.
