Out of the over one dozen mortgage origination and fulfillment experiences I have had over the last 30 years, my experience with Finance Factors and particularly with Kimberly Norton has been flawless. Our family had an unusual and non-traditional underwriting situation. We were relocating from overseas, with foreign income from a foreign entity. Kimberly and her underwriting team were unfazed by the unique situation and worked patiently with us to fully understand our circumstances. Nearly all the other financial institutions declined to invest the time to understand our risk profile because we didn’t pass the superficial underwriting tests. Once they took the time to understand, it was clear that we were a terrific underwriting risk and that we would be a great customer. Kimberly and her team were unfailingly responsive, professional, and service oriented. I would recommend her and the company without reservation.

I ignorantly walked into buying my first investment property thinking it would be just as straightforward as buying our first home. That was dumb. I wasted time with multiple other lenders that wouldn't touch any of the condos we were falling in love with, largely due to new restrictions from the government-backed agencies that reclassified most of the condos in the area as condotels (despite being non-centrally-managed townhouses). Then even the lenders that were willing to work with the condos struggled with my specific financial situation and how much of my income was coming from investments. Kim at Finance Factors was one of the only ones that seemed to understand my situation and could quote a decent rate for the points. Of course, getting a good quote is only the first step. There are so many things that can go wrong while securing financing and violate the contract's timeline. And we were putting so much more money into the dream of owning a place on Kauai than we had on our first home, which made every step feel so much heavier and more stressful. The underwriters needed more info... the appraisal came in low... it was rough. Kim's upbeat attitude and quick, clear responses ensured that not only everything got done on time, but that we also got through it as painlessly as possible. I genuinely don't know if we'd be owners of our wonderful condo in Kauai today if our real estate agent had not recommended Kim.
