Edge Federal Credit Union, Clay, NY

Never in my life have I had to work so hard to get payoff information on an auto loan. Be sure not to call within an hour of them closing, as they'll just place you on hold until they can click you to voicemail and go home.

I have been with Edge for a long time and let me tell you they are amazing. You go to those bigger banks you wait and wait on automated messages and you need to talk to 12 people before you get to the person you are looking for. Edge is small and efficient. You receive personal service - quick! I have never experienced any issues with Edge and I am grateful they continue to provide great service each and every day.

Being able to have access to a bank at school made my life easier. As a student I was able to volunteer at the Edge location right in my school. Through doing this I was able to expand my knowledge on how banking worked. I was motivated to deposit money into my account weekly from the monthly promotions Edge had. The employees at Edge are the nicest, welcoming people.

I liked the see the loan agreement my dad signed that allowed you to steal the money from his account after he passed. So shady!!! We are in the process of getting my dads estate and I guess Edge federal credit union wanted to make sure THEY were good and deciding to garnish money from my dads account to pay for an auto loan without even going through the proper legal process and without notifying the estate of what they were doing. So so shady!! We haven’t even see the terms of the loan yet!!

I was able to get my daughter a Cub Saver account at Edge FCU right through her school. Edge is a very education driven credit union that really gives a lot back to the kids while teaching them how to save and be responsible with money. The staff is all super friendly and the space is very welcoming. Rates are great too.

Unfortunately they sold out to another credit union. The changeover process has been less than acceptable. Just received an unnecessary letter in the mail from new owner Sydney credit union that my college son doesn’t have the sufficient balance to avoid overdraft fees. His credit card balance will be honored until Dec and then changes to a variable rate. We will be leaving as quickly as we can arrange for accounts through another bank or credit union. Get ready for services to decrease and fees increase. Bigger isn’t always better, in fact it prevents competition and does what Sydney is doing, raises prices to the consumer. Bye bye Edge.
