Equity Bank, Ponca City, OK

This bank used to be Eastman National and was a good family owned bank with free checking. Now it is owned by Equity and they charge a monthly fee for junk you don't want or if you go below minimum required balance. You could do bank to bank transfers for free, now it is 2.55 per transaction. Also I can't use my debt to access savings. I call and they said I was never set up that way. Been doing it over 10 years... Now I have to wait for that option to be approved. Looking for a new bank, any suggestions?

I’m not one to leave bad reviews, but this bank is absolutely TERRIBLE!!! I have the app and asked to dispute an item 4 times!!! They wouldn’t help me! I also have a 13 month CD with this helpless bank! I had questions regarding my CD and they never responded after 5 attempts. They are super nice and return calls when you want to open an account but no help when you need it! I’m closing my account. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Do NOT Bank here. I wish someone would have warned me. STAY AWAY!!! The customer should never have to ask numerous times for a bank to protect their assets as they are legally bound to do so.

I have had trouble setting up my online banking for a while now and I stopped in the bank and Shannon was a HUGE help, she set me up in 5 minutes and explained the app so I knew how to check my balance and transactions, Shannon is a fantastic employee and Equity is lucky to have her with her amazingly polite service. Shannon definitely is a strong asset to the bank. I can't say at this point that I've had withdrawals duplicated, nor have I had to "pay and pay" (in a quote below) for anything. I'm not sure what was meant by that.

Trash bank. Very deceitful practices. Will switch your checking account to another type of checking and charge you a monthly fee without your consent.
