I live in Klamath Falls Oregon and have run into complications with documentation and communication between myself and my lending agency, more specifically Dana Orr at our local Axia home loan office. We had let her know that we were getting a house and were proceeding with an inspection on it and let Dana know. She requested for the appraisal to be ordered on the 29th and her assistant Liz Hull emailed us to let us know and explained they would tell us the due back date and who the appraiser was and we did not hear back from them on any details further. The appraisal should not have been ordered without our consent prior, we had not been made aware of the fact it was being ordered until after the fact. We were not given a chance to go over price, date of completion, or company that would perform the job before it was completed.
On july 14th, we had a meeting in her office to turn in paperwork Dana had requested. On this day we asked about the appraisal to see if there were any details about it yet and were told that it should have been ordered and that they would email us. We were informed on the 16th, that the appraisal was completed and were sent a copy of the appraisal and the price of the appraisal was shocking. We had not been given notice that it would be ordered until it was ordered, then we were not provided with any information about how much it would be, when it would be performed, or what company would be performing it. After reading the appraisal document, the appraisal was completed on july 6th before out office visit and we were never informed prior about anything other than the request had been put in for an order.
We spoke with Liz Hull on july 23rd at 4:35pm about the complications and were informed that we would still have to pay and we had been sent all documentation ahead of time, which is not the case. She then explained she would have Dana get in touch with us, who then called us at 2:40pm on july 24th and left a voicemail explaining was sorry for the delay and to call her about the situation, when we attempted to call her back at 3:01pm pst of the same day there was no answer and we have still not made contact with her since.
This is outrageous and we will be taking our business elsewhere and recommending away from axia in the future if this is the kind of service one gets when attempting to perform a life changing event such as purchasing a home with Axia.
We would love to hear back about this situation from someone with authority to remedy this situation if possible.
