Staff is helpful and friendly. The credit union seems to strive to offer the same services as the larger banks. I like their ITM machines. They allow you to receive "face-to-face" help at the machine for transactions that you would normally perform with a teller. The machine hours are also much more widely available beyond the normal branch hours.

We switched to First Commonwealth from a larger bank and were so happy. As a small business owner for 17 years I have never had this kind of personal relationship with my bank. It is a breath of fresh air and you should switch them if you are interested in a superior banking relationship. Shawn Bogutskie has been a pleasure to work with.

They bought my credit union and it's been a complete disaster. Nobody can answer questions or concerns and there is no way to get in contact with a manager

I decided to refinance my car loan with First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union for a lower interest rate and monthly payment. FCFCU had the initial loan on my car through the dealership where I purchased it so I didn’t see a need to change banking institutions. I started the process on a Wednesday and was approved within 24 hrs. The entire process, from start to finish, took just 2 days, starting with the Loan Expeditor to the Loan Underwriters and ending with the signing of the final loan documents. Everything was completed online, including the signing of the loan documents. My Loan Expeditor, Isabelle Mendez from the Easton, PA branch, handled my loan with the utmost professionalism, kindness and patience. Isabelle is a true asset to FCFCU. I then decided to refinance my son’s car through them as well. I transferred the loan from M&T Bank who, unbeknownst to me, dropped the Gap Insurance on the initial refinancing of his first loan. (M&T Bank never divulged that important fact during their refinancing process!) FCFCU offers Gap Insurance on all car loans/refinances. Suffice it to say, I couldn’t be happier with the manner in which these 2 refinancing transactions were handled through FCFCU. They know how to treat customers and keep them. Thank you, Isabelle, for how wonderful you are.

Avoid Alyssa at all costs. We went in looking to possibly get a loan to buy a big purchase. Alyssa was well aware of our circumstances. We made it clear that we do not have the paperwork that is required and we will give it to her hopefully by the end of the day or Monday. She specifically said she won’t put it through until she gets the paperwork in her hands. But to our surprise she ended up submitting the application anyway and we were denied. Instead of fixing the mistake and admitting to the error, she gaslights and makes it seem like she never promised a good outcome.
